In technical terms, a Giga is a unit of measurement denoting a factor of a billion. A Beat is the music's pulse, that repeating kick you recognize as the rhythm of the music. Beats are created primarily by drums, but can be produced by any musical instrument that can have a sharp sound such as the bass, voice, piano etc. Our goal is to drop over a billion beats of music.

Our business was formed out of our love for music and the enjoyment we find in spinning it for others. Music of every decade and genre has one common element at its Heart and that is a Beat.
A Beat is a moment of time. Beats per minute (BPM), is the measure used to
express the tempo of a piece of music or a heartbeat and is quantified by the number of beats that occur within the space of one minute. BPM has been patented since 1815, some examples of BPM ranges for genres include: Reggae: 60-90 BPM / R&B: 60-80 BPM / Hip-Hop: 85-115 BPM / Pop: 100-130 BPM / Rock: 110-140 BPM / House: 118-135 BPM / Techno-Dance120-160 / Drum and bass: 160-190 BPM. How many beats are in a song? So, a Pop song in 4/4 time with a 120 BPM that is 4 minutes in length has a total of 480 beats and 30 bars in a minute and 2 beats per second.
The ONE - Most of the Music played by a DJ is in 4/4 Time, the classic notation, indicating there are four beats in one bar of music. To drop a song is a mixing technique that describes the moment when the DJ drops a second song on one that is already playing. A DJ usually drops a song on THE ONE which is the first beat of the first bar of music. The first drop is the moment where you first hear the beat kick.
